Young Dutch choreographer Justin de Jager is a pioneer in the emerging breakdance discipline "Threading. In The Blend, he creates a world all his own in which the dancers are intertwined as one body with an infinite succession of movements. Despite his young age, last year he won the audience award of the Rotterdam International Duet Choreography Competition (RIDCC) and made it to the finals of Hollands Got Talent.

Spanish choreographer Alba Castillo creates pure dance poetry with a touch of magic. In the old distribution hall of the Van Nelle Factory, a childlike dream world blossoms in which fantasy and reality intertwine. Alba is a soloist with Ballet Theater Basel and, as a choreographer, wins awards at every festival she participates in, from Copenhagen to Beijing.

Rotterdam-based spoken word artist, musician, rapper and performer Dox (Unorthadox) guarantees an exciting clash of cultures in The Blend. Musicians and dancers challenge each other in surprising improvisations. With his love of disruption and breaking existing codes, Dox manages to create a new dynamic between dance and music.
