Milana Zaric

Milana Zarić is a versatile and creative musician, constantly exploring new horizons in music. As the principal harpist of the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra and artistic director of Ensemble Studio 6, she moves effortlessly between classical and experimental music. She performs as a soloist and chamber musician, with a strong focus on contemporary repertoire.

Milana is also a dedicated educator at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, where she shares her extensive experience with a new generation of musicians. A passionate initiator of international projects, she builds bridges through collaborative creation and artistic innovation. Her work blends composition with free improvisation and frequently intersects with other disciplines such as sound art and performance.

Zarić has premiered more than thirty new works for solo harp and ensemble, incorporating not only her harp, but also voice, zither, percussion, electric harp, and electronics. Her innovative approach and cross-disciplinary practice make her a distinctive voice in the world of contemporary music.
