in 'Bowlers Heaven' by Guy Weizman & Roni Haver.

On Friday 22 August at 9 pm Scapino will be dancing again in the het Open Air Theatre in the Amsterdam Vondelpark, presenting:

B.A.M. - Ed Wubbe
Matter for a poem - Georg Reischl
Bowler's Heaven - Guy Weizman & Roni Haver.

For urban guest dancers Besim Hoti and Michal Rynia, Ed Wubbe created the amazing duet ‘B.A.M.’ to Bach cello suites. Wubbe integrates the backspins, freezes and syncopated shoulders so typical of street dance with his own fluid dance style.

Georg Reischl’s work is characterised by his pure, physical approach to dance. His pieces are infused with the same intensity. Georg Reischl: “The mood in ‘Matter for a poem’ is light – fragile, like a poem. A fragment of fabric fluttering in the breeze. Like the scene in the film American Beauty, with the plastic bag dancing in the wind. It is poetic and slightly absurd at the same time. ‘Matter for a poem’ is a physical poem.”

Guy Weizman and Roni Haver are renowned for their mysterious and seductive dance productions. ‘Bowlers heaven’ is a catchy dance piece – light, fresh and fun.
