Poem on poem
GDMW Festival has commissioned Scapino Ballet Rotterdam to create a special production: a collaboration between choreographer Georg Reischl and Rotterdam poet Daniël Dee.
Reischl describes his choreography, ‘Matter for a poem’, set to violin music by Gavin Bryars and Hildur Ingveldardottir Gudnadottir, as a physical poem. With a physical refrain and verses, it also has the structure of a poem. In the presentation, the language of dance and the words of Daniël Dee merge to create a new work of art.
